A Sci-Fi First-Person narrative game created during my time as a Sophomore at Columbia College Chicago. Homeward was a solo project, using art and sound assets found on the Unity Store.

Were I to continue this project, I would add an entrance to the backyard inside the building itself. After several play tests where the testers were unable to find the backyard, I realized that something had to change, but remained too set in my original plan and instead tried to make the current path more distinct. I should have done the same as I had done with the building itself, rearranging the layout to better match the testers movements.

I would also make make the interactive objects stand out more, add the voiceover I had planned and recorded, make navigation simpler (using either signs or a map), and a number of other quality of life changes.

Overall, I am happy with how this project turned out, and am especially glad that I added a number of features to emphasize the storytelling, such as the ending cut scene and text triggers that appear at certain points to display the characters thoughts.
